Stuffed Frankfurters


1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped cel­ery
3 tbsp. melted fat
1 c. dry bread crumbs
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of pep­per
1/2 tsp. sage
1/2 tsp. pars­ley
2 tbsp. milk
6 frank­furters
6 strips bacon
Saute onion and cel­ery in melted fat until ten­der. Add to bread crumbs. Add
salt, pep­per, sage and pars­ley, mix­ing thor­oughly. Add milk. Slit frank­furters
length­wise; fill with bread stuff­ing. Wrap with bacon slice, fas­ten­ing ends securely.
Broil 4-inches below medium heat until bacon is crisp. Yield: 6
